That's a funny story, Sharon. And reminds me of the time one of my brothers sent my father a birthday card addressed to Patrick Donnelly, to receive the grave rebuke that "I think that P.A. Donnelly is as much as the Post Office needs to know...."
and in our family, Sharon - and maybe it was only our family - the injunction to tell no one our own business was adjoined to a curtain-twitching investment into the business of other people, communicated with a disapproving snort of "But they'd want to keep *that* dark!!" Here in California, I tell more or less everyone more or less everything, and life is much easier.
